KIDS SQUASH
Our kids squash program, led by Former World #1 Squash Pro Peter Nicol and Junior Squash Director Jamal Callender, has been leading the NYC junior squash scene for 10 years.
Our afterschool & weekend junior squash sessions and private lessons are suitable for beginners through to recruited college athletes.
Level 1: Beginners
Kids age 6+ will acquire and practice the basic building blocks of the sport. At this level, coaches will be on-court feeding and demonstrating. Kids work towards racket to ball connection, serve, return and multi-shot rallies.

Racket swing mechanics

Monday & Wednesday: 4:30 - 5:45 pm
Tuesday & Thursday: 5:30 - 6:45 pm
Friday: 5:15 - 6:45 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 1 - 2:30 pm

Full semester sign-up required; minimum 2 days/week weekdays
Level 2
Tournament Ready; US Squash Rating ≈ 2.0+
Athletes entering L2 have met performance goals of hitting forehands, backhands, serves and serve returns comfortably. At this level, coaches encourage practice without coach feed and increasing focus on technical improvement. Practice is lengthened to 1.5 hours.

Practicing squash specific drills
Retrieving shots from the back wall
Getting back to the T
Conditioned games
Best-of-five matches

Level 3
US Squash Rating ≈ 3.0+
Players in this group are interested in playing Bronze and Silver level tournaments (Gold if playing U13). They understand that effort and concentration in practice will lead to great performance. Players at this level dedicate 2-4 days/week between group practice, play and/or a lesson depending on their level of interest.
Objectives:
Maintaining consistent technique while pace & complexity of drills progress
Moving and hitting to all four corners
Comfort hitting shots off the back wall
Developing a personal playing style
Condition games and competitive play

Level 4
US Squash Rating ≈ 4.0+
Performance athletes are committed to improving themselves and their teammates. Players are competing in silver, gold and JCT level tournaments. Players at this level dedicate 3-5 days/week between group practice, play and/or a lesson depending on their level of interest. Those who desire to play college squash are provided guidance.

Building mental & physical endurance
Honing a personal playing style
Understanding how commitment & effort leads to achievement

No court fees for lessons, gameplay, or court bookings.
Junior Membership is required for enrollment in our afterschool program.
1:1 Private Lessons
We offer world-class private coaching by Former World #1 Peter Nicol for $250 a lesson and Jamal Callender for $175 a lesson. We also have a team of amazing intermediate-level coaches for $150 a lesson (court fees to be charged dependent on membership status.) Reach out for info or check our schedule for availability.
